Through this program a student can report incidents of drugs, weapons or alcohol on campus to any school staff member or a school resource officer while maintaining their anonymity. The reporting student is then eligible for a $50.00 reward if the claim is found to be legitimate and action is taken against the offending student. All rewards are funded by Ventura County Crime Stoppers, at no cost to the police department or the school district. Currently, this program pays out up to $1,500 in cash rewards each month to Middle school and High school students.

Students contact school staff or the School Resource Officer (SRO) with the assurance that the identity of the student remains anonymous to everyone else, removing the fear of reprisal and negative peer pressure. The Staff or SRO will then investigate the implication of a crime. The school staff or SRO will not be questioned as to the identity of the informant.  Payment is made to the Tipster in cash.

This program is active in the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura.
